New subscribers can avail an introductory offer of Rs 199 for the first six months. The timing is strategic. India has emerged as one of Google’s most engaged markets for AI tools, with widespread adoption of the Gemini app and NotebookLM research assistant. The new pricing tier fills the gap between Google’s free basic plan and its premium AI Pro offering, which costs Rs 1,950 monthly.

AI Plus unlocks significantly more power than the free tier. Subscribers gain access to Gemini 3 Pro, Google’s most sophisticated AI model, alongside Nano Banana Pro for advanced image creation and editing. The package includes video generation through Veo 3.1, creative filmmaking tools via Flow, and native Gemini integration in Gmail and Google Docs.Beyond AI features, the plan provides 200 GB of cloud storage—over 13 times the free tier’s allocation—and deeper access to NotebookLM for research tasks. Family sharing for up to five members adds considerable value for households.
Google AI subscription tiers compared
The new AI Plus tier positions itself between Google’s free offering and the premium AI Pro plan. While the free tier provides basic AI assistance with 100 monthly credits and 15 GB storage, AI Plus offers 200 monthly credits and substantially more storage. The top-tier AI Pro, priced at Rs 1,950 monthly with a one-month trial at Rs 10, includes 1,000 monthly credits and 2 TB storage.
