Dimapur: A search operation for a tourist who went missing in the Dzukou Valley, Kohima district, on Jan 4 has yielded no new leads even after 13 days.Pranab Das, a resident of Srinagar district in West Tripura, was reportedly last seen at the Dzukou ticketing counter in Viswema on Jan 4. He was reported missing on Jan 13.Search teams, including the Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO), the Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO), personnel from the South police station and Khuzama police station, officials of the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, members of the Southern Angami Tour Guide Council and volunteers from various Southern Angami villages, launched an extensive search operation across the Dzukou Valley after he was reported missing. Despite their efforts, no clues regarding Das’s whereabouts were found till Saturday. Das’s family members also joined the search operation.Kohima deputy commissioner B Henok Buchem, along with the senior superintendent of police Krodi Rhetso and other administrative and police officers, met officials of the SAPO and the SAYO at the Viswema entry point to Dzukou on Friday.The officials also met Das’s family and expressed solidarity and support during the ongoing search efforts.
