Meta’s chief technology officer Andrew Bosworth, popularly known as Boz, recently took to Instagram for an AMA session. Bosworth emphasised that the successful Meta employees are “relentless in pursuit of doing great work.” He described that the workers at Meta take pride in their contributions and treat their projects with a sense of personal ownership. As per him, this drive is what sets apart those who excel in the company’s fast-paced environment.

Bosworth also highlighted adaptability as a crucial trait. “When plans change, their first reaction isn’t a knee-jerk fear of change, but rather a tremendous curiosity and enthusiasm about what that might mean for them,” he noted. With Meta frequently shifting priorities in areas like VR, AI, and the metaverse, employees who embrace change thrive.After listing technical and behavioral qualities, Bosworth concluded with something simple yet profound: “Just a good person.” For him, character matters as much as skill, and being trustworthy and ethical is non-negotiable.
