MEERUT: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by her friend’s father and two of his friends after being held captive for 12 days at a house in UP’s Hapur. The survivor’s friend had spiked her drink with sleeping pills after which she lost consciousness and was repeatedly violated, police said on Sunday.SP (Hapur) Kunwar Gyananjay Singh said, “An FIR has been registered under BNS sections 70 (2) (gangrape), 127 (wrongful confinement), 123 (causing hurt by poison), 137 (kidnapping), and 5/6 sections of the Pocso Act. Two men have been arrested so far. The survivor’s friend and his father are still at large. The girl was sent for medical examination and her condition is stable.”The heinous crime came to light after the 14-year-old girl managed to escape on Nov 25 and return home to narrate the ordeal to her mother. She said her friend invited her to his house on Nov 13 and gave her a cold drink there. She added that when she was semi-conscious, she realised that her friend’s father and two other men were sexually assaulting her. They kept her in a room and raped her multiple times.Her mother, who supports the family by working in other houses in the locality, had filed a missing person’s report on Nov 14. The girl’s father suffers from a kidney ailment and remains unwell most of the time.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
