OnePlus is set to launch the Nord 6 smartphone in India next week. Ahead of its April 7 launch date, the company has shared details on the smartphone’s camera system, AI productivity tools, and durability credentials. The device was first announced with a focus on gaming and battery life, featuring a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, 165 FPS gaming, chip-accelerated Wi-Fi, and a 9,000mAh battery. The latest disclosures add to that picture. However, it’s important to note that full specifications and pricing will be revealed on April 7.

The OnePlus Nord 6 carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water- and dust-resistance ratings, and its front glass offers drop and scratch resistance comparable to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. OnePlus says the device has been tested under MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards, including exposure to detergent-filled hot water.The Nord 6 pairs a 50MP Sony main sensor with dual-axis Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and a 32MP front camera. Both cameras are backed by a multi-focusing hardware sensor designed to improve sharpness and detail in low-light conditions.The phone records 4K video at 60 FPS and includes a 4K Motion Photo Clipper feature that captures a 3-second clip with audio and lets users export any frame as a full-resolution still. OnePlus says the Nord 6 uses the same HDR and colour processing algorithms as the OnePlus 15. For editing, the phone includes AI tools such as AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Perfect Shot.On the AI front, the Nord 6 includes a feature called Mind Space, accessible via the Plus Key or a three-finger swipe. It functions as an on-device knowledge vault that saves on-screen content and connects with Google Gemini for contextualised suggestions. The phone also supports real-time translation across text, calls, and video, including Hindi, alongside AI Ghostwriter and AI Scan.
