Singer Arpit Bala: ‘I lashed out when boundaries were crossed’: Arpit Bala breaks silence on Hyderabad concert row, says ‘my face is not a bullseye’ | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Singer Arpit Bala has broken his silence following a viral video from his Hyderabad concert, where he was seen involved in an on-stage confrontation with a fan.The incident occurred on March 28, when a bottle was thrown toward him during his performance. The footage shows Bala reacting angrily—pointing at the individual, tossing the bottle back, and instructing security to eject the attendee. Now, days after the incident, Bala shared a video on his YouTube channel to present his side of the story. Calling it “not an explanation” but his version of events, the singer said, “It’s not an explanation, but I want you to see my side of the story.” “Everything was fine for the first four songs; everybody was enjoying. Then suddenly, while I was walking, a bottle came and hit me in the eye. The problem isn’t just that it hit me, but that they had already thrown one or two bottles before. When it hit my eye, it broke my flow, and I got angry,” he added. “What I said or did in anger… was it justified? In a way, you could say I should have been the bigger person, but that’s easier said when someone is provoking you. I was hit in the face, and it was not even disrespectful; it was just a safety hazard. My face is not a bullseye,” he further said.Arpit Bala acknowledged that his reaction was impulsive, admitting he “lashed out” in the heat of the moment. He added that although he knows he shouldn’t have responded that way, such behavior goes beyond acceptable limits. “Out of impulse, I lashed out at them. I shouldn’t have done that. But when you cross boundaries, you can’t expect me to dilly-dally about it.” Arpit Bala, whose full name is Arpit Balabantaray, became popular with his viral track “Bargad” in 2025. He is also known for songs like “Rakhlo Tum Chhupaake,” “Ik Kudi,” “Nahani,” and “Pyari Amaanat.”(With agency inputs)
