Final electoral rolls: Over 29.6L voters listed in Agra | Agra News
The revision exercise, which began on Oct 27 last year, was completed after 166 days of extensive fieldwork

Agra: The Agra district administration on Friday published the final electoral rolls for all Assembly constituencies in Agra after completing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 exercise, with over 29.6 lakh voters listed and more than six lakh names removed. District magistrate Aravind Mallappa Bangari released the final voter list at the Collectorate auditorium in the presence of representatives from various political parties.Officials said the electoral rolls will be available for public inspection free of cost at all polling stations from April 10 to April 17. Copies have also been made available at the offices of electoral registration officers (EROs), Assistant EROs, and the district election office.The district now has a total of 29.6 lakh registered voters, including 16.2 lakh male voters, 13.4 lakh female voters, and 82 third gender voters. Sources told TOI that over 6 lakh names were removed from the rolls following the revision exercise.Providing a constituency-wise break-up, the DM said Etmadpur (86) has 4.2 lakh voters, Agra Cantonment (SC) (87) has 3.3 lakh, Agra South (88) has 2.7 lakh, Agra North (89) has 3.3 lakh, Agra Rural (SC) (90) has 3.7 lakh, Fatehpur Sikri (91) has 3.3 lakh, Kheragarh (92) has 3 lakh, Fatehabad (93) has 2.9 lakh, and Bah (94) has 2.9 lakh voters.Additional district magistrate (city) and deputy district election officer Yamunadhar Chauhan said Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will remain present at their respective polling stations for a week to facilitate public verification. “If a voter’s name is missing, they can apply for inclusion by submitting Form 6 either offline or through the Election Commission’s online portal,” Chauhan said.He added that under the Representation of the People Act, 1950, voters can file a first appeal within 15 days of publication of the rolls with the district election officer, and a second appeal can be made to the chief electoral officer within 30 days of the decision.Bangari said the revision exercise, which began on Oct 27 last year, was completed after 166 days of extensive fieldwork. “Over 3,900 BLOs, 394 supervisors, 288 assistant EROs, and nine EROs participated in the exercise, along with more than 13,000 booth-level agents from various political parties, ensuring accuracy and transparency,” he said.
