THANE: At least nine people were killed and three others injured on Monday after a van collided with a cement mixer on a bridge in Maharashtra’s Thane district.The accident took place around 11.30 am on Raita bridge in Govili village of Murbad.According to police , the van collided with a cement mixer coming from the opposite direction.Several passengers died at the scene due to the impact, while the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.Rescue teams, along with local police and medical staff, reached the spot and carried out relief operations.
