Bihar matric result boys vs girls 2026: BSEB Class 10 Result 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the Class 10 (Matric) Result 2026 today, Sunday. The overall pass percentage for Class 10 students is 81.79 percent. The results were announced in an official press conference in the presence of Education Minister Sunil Kumar and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor.In the BSEB Class 10 result 2026, Pushpanjali Kumari of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui, and Sabreen Praween of Vaishali jointly topped the results, securing 492 marks (98.4 percent). In the overall results, out of the total number of successful students, 6,34,353 were girls, while 6,01,390 were boys. The high number of girl students who cleared the examination is a testament to their consistent performance over the years.In addition to their performance in the overall results, girls have also emerged as the top performers. Mixed trends in different divisionsThough boys had a higher number in the first division category, girls performed well in the second and third division categories. A total of 2,50,500 girls got second division, compared to 2,25,011 boys. Likewise, 1,67,427 girls got third division, compared to 1,35,676 boys.This shows that even though boys had a marginal advantage in the first division, girls had a wider lead in terms of success rate.Toppers list shows the gender trendThe merit list again proves the supremacy of girls. Out of 139 students in the top 10 ranks, 57 are girls. The interesting fact is that in the top five ranks, there are multiple girls, reflecting their academic presence in the top ranks.Consistent performance over the yearsThe pass percentage of the Board has been 81.79 percent this year, which is slightly lower than 82.11 percent in 2025. However, it is still a stable performance over the years. The timely announcement of results within March is also a reflection of the efficiency of the Board in evaluation and result processing.Narrowing gaps, rising competitionThe Bihar Board Class 10 results 2026 also reveal a competitive academic environment, where girls continue to perform better than boys. Though boys performed better in securing first division marks, girls performed consistently in all divisions. It is a major step in the state’s academic history.
