Actor Daksh Sharma, currently seen as Nakul in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, calls his journey on the show both unexpected and special.Sharing how he landed the role, he says, “It all happened very quickly. I got a call from Balaji for a different show, and the next day they asked me about Kyunki. By night, I was on board, and we started shooting the very next day.”
Talking about his character, Daksh finds a strong personal connection. “Nakul is exactly like how I was in my teens. But as the story progresses, the character grows and evolves in many ways.”For the actor, performing has always been the only goal. “I never had a plan B. Being on set—with lights, camera, costumes, and scripts—has always excited me.”Working alongside veterans like Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay has been a defining experience for him.“With Smriti ma’am, I’ve shot just one scene so far, but the entire family made me feel very welcome,” he shares.He especially recalls his first interaction with Amar. “Amar sir was the first one to come up to me, shake my hand, and say, ‘Welcome to Shanti Niketan.’ That moment meant a lot—it was a dream come true.”Daksh adds that such experiences are invaluable for his growth. “He really broke the ice and made me feel comfortable. As an actor, getting the chance to work with such stalwarts is a huge opportunity. The more I observe them, the more I learn.”For him, the journey has just begun—but it’s already filled with moments he’ll always remember.
