Ethiopian long-distance runner Yebrgual Melese has died at the age of 36 after suffering a sudden medical emergency while training in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Melese had been preparing for the Ottawa Marathon scheduled for May 24 and was expected to be one of the strongest runners in the women’s race.
