GATE 2026: IIT Guwahati reopens application correction window for today; check list of editable fields here

GATE 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has once again opened the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 application correction facility for candidates. The correction window is available only for today, 18 November, 2025, on the official portal, goaps.iitg.ac.in. Applicants who need to make changes to their submitted forms are advised to do so promptly, as no further extension has been announced.IIT Guwahati is set to conduct the GATE 2026 examination from 7 to 15 February, 2026, with papers scheduled in two sessions each day. The forenoon session will run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the afternoon session will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The results for GATE 2026 will be published on 19 March, 2026. GATE 2026: Fields candidates can revise

Candidates can update the following details during the correction window:

  1. Gender
  2. Category
  3. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) status
  4. Dyslexia and other similar learning disability status
  5. Parent or guardian details and correspondence address
  6. College name, location, roll number, and registration number
  7. Examination paper
  8. Examination city
  9. Qualifying degree information

GATE 2026: How to make corrections

To edit their application, candidates must follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official GOAPS website.
  • Log in using the enrolment number, registered email address, and password.
  • After logging in, candidates will be directed to the correction page.
  • Make the required edits. Please note that modifications to previously selected examination cities or papers may incur an additional fee.
  • Submit the updated application form.
  • Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Additional details

GATE 2026 will feature 30 test papers, including both full and sectional papers. A new sectional paper on Energy Science has been introduced under the Engineering Sciences (XE) category. Candidates may opt to appear for one or two papers, depending on eligibility criteria.Applicants are advised to complete any necessary corrections without delay to avoid last-minute issues.
