The GBI says authorities responded to a home on the 3400 block of Eastman Dublin Highway on Tuesday, and found a man shot to death inside the home
EASTMAN, Ga. — A 60-year-old man shot and killed himself after fatally shooting another man in Eastman on Tuesday, according to a report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
The GBI says authorities responded to a home on the 3400 block of Eastman Dublin Highway on Tuesday and found a man shot to death inside the home.Â
The GBI identified the man as Jonathan Groves, 48, of Eastman.
Investigators also found a second man, 60-year-old Rex Giddens, dead in the woods near the home, according to the press release.
Officials say that early findings suggest that Giddens shot and killed Groves, before going into the woods and shooting himself. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies will be taken to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies.
