NEW DLEHI: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has launched the Certificate in Leadership with artificial intelligence (AI) through its Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSoM), in collaboration with Great Learning. The four-month online programme is scheduled to begin in January 2026, and registrations are now open.The course targets mid to senior professionals, business leaders, and entrepreneurs. Participants who complete the programme will receive a certificate of completion from IIT Bombay, recognising their readiness to lead AI-related initiatives.Course structure and modulesThe programme begins with core modules covering AI-ready leadership, Generative AI and agents, AI-led business strategy, and building a responsible AI-first organisation. In the final module, participants select an industry-specific specialisation and work on sector-relevant case studies to gain practical insights applicable to their field.Prof. Rajendra Sonar of IIT Bombay stated that the programme aims to help leaders understand how AI technologies influence strategy, operations, and long-term growth. It also focuses on evaluating AI’s potential, risks, and impact on organisations.Collaboration with Great LearningMohan Lakhamraju, Founder and CEO of Great Learning, said the programme combines academic content and practical insight. He added that leadership in the AI era requires strategic foresight and the ability to guide and scale the use of AI across organisations.Eligibility and registrationCandidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA.
