Azzi Fudd solidified herself as the No. 1 prospect for the 2026 WNBA Draft with a masterful performance against Syracuse. The UConn star scored a season-high 34 points, including 26 in the first half, in a 98-45 beatdown so brutal it left Orange coach Felisha Legette-Jack complaining about having to even play the Huskies.
It’s been quite the journey for Fudd, who has overcome several leg injuries to reach this pinnacle of her college career.
Paige Bueckers can relate. After tearing her ACL in 2022, Bueckers faced external doubt about whether she could stay healthy and return to the elite form she proved capable of as a freshman. Bueckers proceeded to have two injury-free, standout seasons and led UConn to a national title last year. The Dallas Wings then happily took her No. 1 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
It was at the draft when Bueckers hard launched her relationship with Fudd, as the pair sat next to each other. In the ensuing months Fudd showed off a phone case that read “Paige Bueckers’ girlfriend,” while Bueckers confirmed Fudd was her girlfriend in an interview during 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend.
So, are Fudd and Bueckers still together?
There’s no evidence to the contrary, but they haven’t posted about their relationship on social media for a while now, so we can’t confirm nor deny their status.
If we see Bueckers as the NCAA Tournament rolls along, perhaps we’ll get an answer.
