PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — John B. Connally High School remained on lockdown Monday afternoon after district police received a tip regarding a person possibly armed in the school’s parking lot, Pflugerville ISD officials said.
Officers had not located the individual or confirmed any active danger, but are continuing to search the area as a precaution, the district said in a message to parents.
“At this time, officers have not been able to locate the individual or confirm that there is any active danger; however, they are continuing to search and investigate out of an abundance of caution,” the district said.

Students and staff were secured in their classrooms while law enforcement worked through the situation. Officials said no one was being allowed onto campus property while the investigation was ongoing, and warned of significant traffic congestion in the surrounding area.
Parents wishing to pick up their children were asked to remain patient, as law enforcement was restricting access to the campus.
