Lisa Kudrow is remembering how talented her co-star Alan Cumming was in their 1997 film, ‘Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.’ In a recent interview, the ‘Friends’ actress recalled being thrilled about Cumming’s presence in the film. Along with Kudrow and Cumming, the film starred Mira Sorvino, with Janeane Garofalo, Justin Theroux, and Elaine Hendrix in the supporting cast.

Watching a clip of Cumming, now 61, in the film during an interview with Vanity Fair, 62-year-old Kudrow remarked: “Alan Cumming, come on. He’s such a force.” Kudrow recalled how she was “so thrilled” that he was going to be in ‘Romy and Michele.’ Kudrow added, “He was so good. And then getting to meet him, and he’s so fun and light, so down to earth, but still like a little bit of that, oh, what is it? I don’t know, joie de vivre.” Kudrow continued: “It’s like Parker Posey. It’s like they’re an event, you know, in and of themselves.”

Mira Sorvino calls the film evergreen

Recently Mira Sorvino also reflected on the “cultural resonance” of the film. Speaking on an episode of Sophia Bush’s ‘Work in Progress’ podcast, the 58-year-old described the film as “evergreen” and said that at a recent screening she and the film’s screenwriter and producer Robin Schiff were treated like “rock stars.”
