Made in India Maruti Victoris heads overseas as ‘Across’: Details

Maruti Suzuki India today announced the commencement of global exports of the Made-in-India Maruti Suzuki Victoris. The Victoris is manufactured exclusively in India and will be shipped to multiple international markets, including Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. For global markets, the Victoris will be sold under the name Across and over 450 vehicles have already set sail from Mundra and Pipavav ports. The company also stated that the model is planned to be exported to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. In the Indian market, the Victoris is offered in a total of six variants – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI(O), ZXI+, and ZXI+(O) with prices starting from Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Victoris takes inspiration from Maruti’s SUV family but maintains its own personality. Its upright silhouette and muscular proportions give it a strong road presence. Dimensionally, it edges past the Grand Vitara, particularly in length, which translates into a roomier cabin. On the styling front, the SUV features a sharper, more contemporary approach with slim LED headlamps and connected tail-lamps, tidier body surfaces with minimal cladding. Other exterior highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, silver roof rails, LED light bar and ‘VICTORIS’ lettering at rear.
