PANCHKULA: A one-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped and strangled to death, with his body found late Saturday night in bushes near Sukhomajri village in Haryana’s Panchkula.The accused has been identified as Ajay, a resident of Pinjore.Police said Ajay has been arrested, while Rivansh’s mother is also being questioned over her possible involvement. Investigations suggest that the two had recently connected on Instagram and had been meeting for some time, raising suspicions of a possible conspiracy.The boy went missing on Saturday morning after being taken from a crèche in Sector 12-A by the accused, who reportedly posed as the child’s father.A murder case has been registered under the relevant sections of the BNS. Police are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the movements of the accused. Forensic and crime teams visited the site and collected evidence.The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
