Travis Kelce hit the headlines this week after he seemingly confirmed his return for another NFL season amid wedding prep with his pop superstar fiancee, Taylor Swift. Travis, in his latest chat, gushed about how his wife-to-be played a role in motivating his professional decision. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce ended months of speculation about his return to the Kansas City Chiefs saying, “Let’s go! Making another run at it, baby, and the Chiefs are making moves, Pat.“
Exlaining how Swift’s passion for her own music career ‘inspired’ him to make his return to the spot after a brief step back, he said, “We share the same love for what we do, and we’ve had this…desire,” Kelce said. “I’m still in love with this game. I still love going to work, putting on the pads, grinding it out and just playing the game, you know, and I think my best opportunity was playing for the Chiefs yet again and running this thing back with Pat Mahomes and Coach Reid. And got my guy Eric Bieniemy, Coach Bieniemy back, and there’s a lot of pieces in Kansas City that I just I absolutely love and I can’t wait to get back in the building with.”Teasing that more music possibly on the way, Kelce said, “It’s amazing to see her keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies…and on top of that, still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does. Yeah, of course that’s motivating. That’s motivating for anyone to see, let alone my fiancée, and knowing that I’m going through something where I’m trying to figure out what exactly the future holds for me, something like that definitely motivates me to say, ‘You know what, I’m not done either.’”Kelce added “Still got some juice to play this game.”On the personal front, wedding prep is on in full swing. Taylor and Travis are set to tie the knot this year in a hush-hush ceremony. While waiting for the big day, Taylor has released a new music video of ‘Opalite’ and is rumoured to be releasing her next featuring Selena Gomez, titled ‘Elizabeth Taylor’.
